Arsenal still owed £8million from crisis club Derby County for Bielik transfer
Derby County still owe Arsenal £8million for the transfer of Krystian Bielik.
The Championship club, who recently entered administration, signed the 23-year-old Polish international for a club record fee worth up to £10million in 2019.
At the time they only paid a small fee upfront and are unable to produce the rest until they find a new owner to take over proceedings at Pride Park.
Any potential buyers will take on debts worth “tens of millions of pounds,” which includes the outstanding fee to The Gunners, with Telegraph sport claiming the club are one of the Rams main creditors.
Earlier this month the Football League briefly added another charge onto Derby’s transfer embargo.
The club were late when paying an instalment to Arsenal, which was agreed as part of the structured payments for Bielik.
Things between the two parites were resolved, with the North London side being assured they will receive the money they are owed.
Bielik is currently on the side-lines recovering from a serious knee injury, which his second since arriving at the club.
Derby also have debts to Polish club Lech Poznan for Kamil Jozwiak, who was signed for £4m in 2020.
The fee for the winger takes the over debt on transfer instalments over £10m.

Further financial problems also includes a fee of £26million which is owed to HM Revenue and Customs.
Meanwhile, former manager Phillip Cocu will not receive his £5m compensation fee following his dismissal last November, due to the club entering administration.
As part of the cost-cutting measure in place, a reported dozen staff members have lost their jobs, but remaining employees and the players were paid their monthly wages in full.
