Arsenal ‘hoping for Thomas Partey profit’ as star given permission to agree move
Kieran Tierney could be on the move from Arsenal
Arsenal have reportedly granted Thomas Partey permission to ‘explore’ an exit from the Emirates this summer in hope of making a profit on his services. The midfielder is attracting interest from around Europe, with Saudi Arabian outfits also monitoring his situation in the hope of securing his signature.
Partey played a key role in Arsenal’s push for the Premier League title last season, though injuries also limited his game time during a decisive part of the campaign.
Having come incredibly close to securing a historic success, Mikel Arteta is keen to go one better next season and feels an overhaul in midfield is required. As a result, Arsenal are looking to create space in their squad – with Granit Xhaka set to join Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £13million.
The Gunners are also willing to offload Partey, it has been reported. According to 90min, Arsenal have told the Ghana international that he can ‘explore’ a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, which is said to be an opportunity that intrigues the player.

It is also claimed that Arteta’s side are more keen for Partey to join a Saudi Arabian club permanently rather than heading out on loan to a club in Europe as it frees up space on their wage bill for new recruit. Arsenal also believe that they could fetch a fee of over £45m on the ex-Atletico Madrid star if he is sold this summer, meaning that they would make a profit on his services.
It remains to be seen whether Partey approves of heading to the Middle East or he attempts to steer conversations at the Emirates Stadium in a different direction. Arsenal will be hoping that the matter is solved sooner rather than later though, with incomings certainly set to be prioritised.

The Gunners are expected to table another bid for West Ham skipper Declan Rice imminently, having seen their first offer rejected due to both the overall fee involved and the payment structure. The England international is keen to remain in London and work with Arteta, though Manchester City are also monitoring the situation closely.
Brighton star Moises Caicedo and Southampton’s Romeo Lavia are both admired by Arsenal too, though they would need to fend off interest from Chelsea for either player – with Mauricio Pochettino highlighting the duo as the ideal targets to balance his new-look midfield alongside January signing Enzo Fernandez as he looks to implement his tried and tested 4-3-3 at Stamford Bridge.
