Arsenal fans think Kai Havertz ‘done’ as Stamford Bridge escapees are all smiles

Arsenal fans reckon Kai Havertz's £65million arrival from Chelsea will be announced imminently after Jorginho shared snaps with him and Mateo Kovacic.

The Gunners moved quickly this month to secure a deal to sign Germany international Havertz, which will reportedly see £60m paid up front and a further £5m potentially sent to Stamford Bridge in add-ons.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, he underwent a medical on Saturday (June 24). The rest of his weekend was then spent at Kepa Arrizabalaga's wedding.

A number of Blues stars past and present were in attendance yesterday too, including Jorginho – who uploaded a selfie with Havertz to his Instagram story.

He captioned it with four eyes emojis and one laughing face, hinting that they'll soon be team-mates again. In a second post, Kovacic – who himself is nearing a move worth up to £30million to Manchester City – joined them, with the trio all smiles.

Reacting on Twitter, one Arsenal supporter confidently wrote: "Yep it's done Kai Havertz is an Arsenal player ahh man." A second echoed: "It's a done deal for Kai Havertz. Thank you agent Jorginho."

"Reckon this is getting announced tomorrow," commented a third, with a fourth adding: "Chelsea fanbase on strings already, Arsenal legends in my book."

Chelsea fans were certainly less than impressed with Jorginho's stories, with one fuming: "The hate I feel towards him increases as the days goes by…."

Another argued: "'It’s just a picture'. It’s a complete lack of respect." A third said: "Chelsea rejects unite." And a fourth claimed: "Both awful players."

Havertz could well kick off a spending spree in excess of £200million for Arsenal. It's hoped he'll be followed through the Emirates entrance by Ajax centre-back Jurrien Timber, with a third bid for Declan Rice also being considered.
