Arsenal fans say they’ve ‘won the title’ as Man City bottle lead against Man Utd

Many Arsenal fans believe they may have one hand on the title after Manchester City blew a one goal lead to lose against Manchester United.

Pep Guardiola’s side thought they were on their way to another vital victory when Jack Grealish came off the bench to head them into the lead. However, City very quickly lost all their composure when Bruno Fernandes netted a very controversial equaliser.

The reigning Premier League champions were almost still protesting the decision when Marcus Rashford prodded Alejandro Garnacho’s cross into the back of the net from close range to steal the three points. And after City’s Old Trafford collapse, many Arsenal fans are starting to believe their first Premier League title in 18 years is within reach.

“Arsenal’s actually winning the league the City dynasty is over,” one fan wrote on social media. “"League title is being handed to us every week I feel so sorry for Liverpool fans having suffered for years,” another added.

"Don’t care what anyone says, this City team is not as good as it used to be. Arsenal have a real opportunity,” another added, remarking on another loss for City.

"This game only confirms that we’re the best team in the league as things stand,” another very confident supporter commented. "Win our next two games and we've won the league, it's that simple,” said one Arsenal fan whose believe their ambitions could hinge on Arsenal’s matches away to Tottenham and at home to United.

Victory for Mikel Arteta ’s side away to fierce Spurs will open up a five point lead for the North Londoners over second placed City. Arsenal still have to face City twice this season, with the first match taking place on February 15.

In-between that titanic, potentially title deciding clash, Arsenal also host United and travel to Everton, before returning to the Emirates Stadium to face a very dangerous Brentford side.

However, as it should be, their focus at present will only be on Arsenal.
