Arsenal facing tough Lacazette decision with two weeks left of transfer window
Arsenal are facing a dilemma over Alexandre Lacazette with just two weeks left of the January transfer window.
Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to renew their interest in the Gunners striker, with Diego Simeone a big admirer of the 29-year-old.
Lacazette has found form in recent weeks, having scored four goals in his last four Premier League games – three of which were victories.
He is Arsenal's top scorer for the season so far, with nine in all competitions.
And in a season when goals have been a problem for the Gunners – especially with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of form – he is hardly a player Mikel Arteta can afford to lose.
But Lacazette's Emirates contract expires at the end of next season – so time is running out for Arsenal to get a decent price for the man who cost them £47million in 2017.
According to AS, Atletico are set to re-ignite their interest in Lacazette after being linked with the forward last summer.
The Spanish publication claims that Lacazette’s relationship with Arteta is ‘not the best’, going on to say he could be part of another summer clear-out at the end of the season.
With Arteta keen to hand more responsibility to Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah, Lacazette’s position at the club has been questioned.

chief Edu decide they don't want to part with the French international, they face the poser of whether to offer him an extension to his current contract.
When Aubameyang signed a bumper new contract last summer, committing him to Arsenal until 2023, it was widely hailed as a masterstroke by Arteta.
However, the 31-year-old has been out of sorts since, having scored just five goals in all competitions since his strike against Liverpool in the Community Shield.
Lacazette is expected to start Monday's clash against Newcastle as the Gunners look to break into the top half of the table following last week's frustrating draw against Crystal Palace.
If Atletico do come in with a bid for the forward, Arsenal will have to weigh up whether they should cash in – and whether they can afford to lose their biggest source of goals.
