Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou has been named as Manager of the Month for October, becoming the first boss in history to win the award in the opening three months of a Premier League season.
The popular Australian has taken English football by storm since taking charge in the summer and saw his side go unbeaten in their first 10 games.
Spurs’ progress was slightly halted by a chaotic 4-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday after they were reduced to nine men, but it has still been a fine start to the campaign.
Last month, Postecoglou oversaw three victories – against Luton Town, Fulham and Crystal Palace – to ensure he has now won the gong three months in a row after his triumphs in August and September.
They had won eight and drawn two of their 10 top flight games by the end of October.

Spurs had seen double success along with the Player of the Month award, after James Maddison and Son Heung-Min had picked up the accolades for August and September respectively.
However, on this occasion Mohamed Salah was chosen for the fifth time in his career after five goals in three top flight fixtures across October for Liverpool.
Postecoglou joins an exclusive club with only three other managers to have won three or more monthly awards on the trot, with Pep Guardiola – who is the only boss to win four in a row – Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp having all achieved the same feat.
The 1-0 victory at Luton last month came after Yves Bissouma was sent off in the first half for Spurs, while Tottenham then swept aside Fulham with ease in a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, the 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace came following a hard-fought game when Spurs found a way to win despite a below-par display.
They are back in action on Saturday lunchtime when they travel to Wolves, although Postecoglou is set to be without several key players through injury and suspension.
This includes Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero, with the quartet having been crucial to Spurs’ fine start to the campaign.
