American commentator goes berserk as MLS star scores audacious halfway-line goal

An American commentator has channelled his inner South American with a 'goooal' shout that wouldn't have been out of place in the Brazilian top flight.

Sebastian Ferreira found the net from the halfway line within five minutes of Houston Dynamo's clash with Austin FC on Saturday. After his prolonged 'goal' shout, the commentator said: "Coming way out of his area and Sebastian Ferreira giving the Dynamo the lead."

To add insult to injury, Brad Stuver, who was caught off his line for the goals, suffered a knee injury attempting to stop the effort. Stuver was hooked moments later and replaced by backup keeper Andrew Tarbell.

Austin were able to recover from the shock of Ferreira's wonder goal when Dani Pereira fired them level in the 39th minute.

Sebastian Driussi's goal in the 66th minute was the difference as Austin moved into the lead to extend their great start to the MLS season. Austin were able to hold onto the lead to claim the three points move clear at the top of the Western Conference.
