Fans have been left in awe of Niklas Sule’s astonishing goal line clearance to deny Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe a near-certain goal.
Sule was full stretch to deny Mbappe a goal after the attacker had gone through on goal during PSG’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.
Now, after the dust has settled on the 1-1 draw which saw both sides reach the knockout stages, new angles of the incredible clearance have emerged.
One shows a pitchside angle, as well as a slo-motion replay of Sule gracefully sliding along the turf and raising his right leg to block at a 90 degree angle.
A second, uploaded to TikTok from a fan sat behind the goal, shows Sule’s lung-busting run to get into position to deny Mbappe what appeared to be an easy finish into an empty net.

Initially, Sule appeared to lose Mbappe under the long pass, with the 24-year-old collecting the ball, turning and advancing towards the penalty area.
Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel advanced out of his net to meet the Frenchman, but Mbappe tapped the ball to his left, weaved past the keeper and set himself up in front of an open goal.
He struck a low left footed shot towards the goal, but Sule, who had backtracked around 25 yards, slid in and stopped the shot with a spectacular last-ditch effort.
It was a sensational piece of defending, with the German international crashing into the back of the net, before standing up to receive an embrace from his team-mate, Mats Hummels.

Luis Enrique’s side had asked questions of Dortmund early on, having nine attempts on goal during the match, with Bradley Barcola coming close, hitting the post in the opening 20 minutes of the match.
Randal Kolo Muani also had a great chance to score in the first half, after he was played in by Mbappe, but the Frenchman was unable to hit the target after going one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Matts Hummels also went close for the opposition before half-time, heading a close-range effort narrowly wide of the goal.
PSG were dealt a huge blow after half-time, with Karim Adeyemi scoring to put the hosts 1-0 up.
But the visitors hit back soon after, with Warren Zaire-Emery firing into the bottom left-corner to make it 1-1.
