Ally McCoist lays into Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle for "nonsense" interview
Rangers legend and talkSPORT host Ally McCoist has laid into Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey for their blockbuster interview.
The Duchess of Sussex was joined by husband Prince Harry for a tell-all interview, that was shown on ITV on Monday night.
McCoist tuned in to see what the couple had to say, though he wasn’t impressed with what he saw at all.
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast with Laura Woods, McCoist explained: “Aye (I watched it), but it just annoyed me.
“I watched wee bits of it because I was more interested in the football, and stuff like that. But it just annoyed me.
“It annoyed me that much that I don’t even want to talk about it.
“Yes (I’m a royalist), I’m Team Queen. I just thought it was nonsense really.
“I’m going to tell you what made it worse, right. She would say something and Oprah would go ‘Whaaat, whaaat’ as if it was the most incredible thing Oprah had ever heard in her life.
“She would go ‘Oh my God’, they’d say we have somebody bringing our Weetabix and you’d get ‘Whaaat, oh my God’.
“It’s horrendous man, I flicked over.”
And when asked by co-host Woods as to what his three-word review would be, McCoist simply stated: “Not very good.”
He added: “I’d have two three-word reviews. ‘Not very good’ and ‘Saw what’s coming’.
“That would be my third three-word review. I’d have two hours and long in capital letters. Two hours loooooooong.”
