Alisha Lehmann told she is ‘perfect’ in new post after opening up on online fame

Aston Villa star Alisha Lehmann has been told she's "perfect" after opening up about her social media fame.

Lehmann's day job is starring in the Women's Super League and for the Switzerland national team. But away from the pitch she boasts a staggering 11.9million Instagram followers, who like to keep up to date with her other activities.

They lapped up her recent post, which featured as many as seven snaps of her wearing a thin grey top and a pair of matching jogging bottoms. One of her fans commented: "What’s your secret? Cause you’re perfect."

"You're from another world," hailed a second, while a distracted third joked: "Don't ask me the colour of anything."

An in-awe fourth wrote: "I don't know what to do." And a fifth pleaded: "Please take her seriously as a footballer."

The 24-year-old addressed her second life outside of football last week, admitting it's "nice" but reaffirming that her career is her primary focus.

“To be honest, I don’t really think about it,” she told talkSPORT. “It’s not something where I wake up every day and think, oh my God, I have so many followers.

“It’s more that it’s really nice, the support and everything and it’s also a big opportunity. I would like to show the world that women can actually do it in football and you don’t need to just to be normal.

“You can also be a bit crazy, just be you, and use your personality to show the world who you are. Some people just see Instagram and social media and don’t even know I actually play football.

“When I don’t post a football picture for a week, people say, ‘oh she doesn’t even play’. I’m a proper footballer. I work hard every day. I want to be the best version of myself in football and that’s my first priority in life.”
