Remdining viewers of that Eric Cantona moment, Molesley proceeded to give random philosophical thoughts.

He talked about a variety of things, from penguins and bath water to Japanese talking dogs.

said: “If a tree falls, and if no one is there to hear it fall, does it make a noise? Does a penguin get cold? What way does your bath water go? Clockwise or anticlockwise when you take the plug out.

“These are questions that are going to be asked of us, these are questions we have to have answers to.

“We are looking for solutions and we have to solve the equation sometimes.

“Sam has had a lovely haircut, it’s started to grow out now. Coops is here working silently away. Robbie’s over there, it’s the first time he’s been quiet today.

“Terry has bought a briefcase in, you know, he’s got four Japanese talking dogs in there. But you know this is what we work with, and we will continue to work hard.”

It was, of course, all a bit of fun on the manager’s part.
