Alan Pardew ‘does a McClaren’ as pundit slates Everton’s Beto just as he scores
Alan Pardew has suffered his Steve McClaren moment when he was describing Beto's miss on Sky Sports News for Everton, only for him to score.
The Toffees had been poor at the Eco-Power Stadium on Wednesday evening, going 1-0 down to Doncaster Rovers – who are currently bottom of League Two.
And to try and save the game, Sean Dyche sent on new signing Beto. The ex-Udinese man had only arrived on Merseyside on Tuesday, and he immediately spooned a shot way wide of the mark.
Pardew was explaining how poor Beto's miss was on Sky Sports News, just to watch him equalise.

"Alan Pardew disasterclass on Soccer Special," one fan joked. While a second added: "That Pardew has missed a goal in his game says it all!"
"Alan Pardew is so s*** on Soccer Special. Cannot think on his feet or multitask. Embarrassing," a third said. And another joked: "Alan Pardew should never again be allowed as a pundit – he’s worse than Clinton Morrison!"
McClaren infamously suffered his second biggest gaffe with England – after failing to qualify for Euro 2008 – when he was on Sky Sports News during England's clash with Iceland.

England had taken the lead during their Euro 2016 clash, but Iceland quickly hit back. McClaren had been explaining how England to responded brilliantly to the studio.
However, he quickly fell silent when Kolbeinn Sigthorsson's strike made it way through Joe Hart's hands – eventually sending the Three Lions home.
