‘That guy has Wayne wrapped around his little finger’

South Sydney have moved quickly to shoot down any injury concerns with Latrell Mitchell after he cut short training at a soggy Redfern Oval on Tuesday.

Mitchell will be a definite starter in Friday’s grudge match against the Sydney Roosters while Adam Reynolds is also expected to bounce back from concussion and wear the No.7 jersey .

“I won’t be starting, Reyno is fine, he’s all good,” Marshall said. “I think he could have come back on the field, but they left me out there to finish the game.”

Jaxson Paulo will not play after suffering a second head knock in as many weeks with Josh Mansour spending the morning on the right wing.

There will be plenty of spite in the Roosters-Souths clash with Joseph Suaalii’s defection and Jai Arrow’s rag-dolling of a concussed James Tedesco during Origin III ensuring the hate is refusing to subside between the two foundation clubs.

Arrow told the Herald on Monday he was ready for anything the Roosters pack threw at him, and had already tried apologising to Tedesco for the ugly Suncorp Stadium incident.

The Roosters are expected to welcome back Victor Radley, who was handed a two-match ban for tackling a man in a Byron Bay street after Christmas, along with former Rabbit Angus Crichton, who was hit with a one-match suspension for a crusher tackle.
