Max Verstappen’s girlfriend is daughter of F1 legend and has kid with ex-driver

Max Verstappen's girlfriend is the daughter of Formula One legend Neslon Piquet and has a kid with ex-driver Daniil Kvyat.

Kelly Piquet is a Brazilian model and blogger who has been dating the Red Bull driver since late 2020.

Prior to dating Verstappen, she was in a relationship with former F1 driver Kvyat and had a daughter with the Russian two years ago before their relationship ended.

She was born in Germany in 1988 and is the daughter of three-time world champion driver Piquet, who raced for six teams including Williams and Lotus in his career which spanned from 1978 to 1991.

The 33-year-old, who has also worked in motorsport PR, is nine years older than 24-year-old Verstappen.

She is regularly seen at races supporting Verstappen and often uploads pictures and videos of their lives away from the track on social media.

The Dutch driver is chasing his first Drivers' Championship in a fierce title race with Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen leads the standings by eight points ahead of this weekend's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the penultimate race of the 2021 season.

As for Piquet, she currently works as part of the social media team for Formula E, in which he brother races and won his first title in 2014/15.

Nelson Piquet Jr also drove in Formula One before leaving in disgrace after he was ordered to deliberately crash by his team, Renault, at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.

Before Verstappen and Piquet began their relationship last year, she had previously been dating Kvyat for three years between 2016 and 2019.

The Russian driver has had two spells in Formula One from 2014 to 2017 and 2019 to 2020, during which he raced for both Red Bull and Toro Rosso.

Kvyat was actually replaced at Red Bull by Verstappen back in 2016 and demoted back to Toro Rosso after crashing into Sebastian Vettel at the Russian Grand Prix.

He and Piquet had a daughter together in 2019 but ultimately ended their relationship later the same year.

Toro Rosso were rebranded as Alpha Tauri for the 2020 season, with Kvyat remaining with the constructor for the season and finishing 14th.

He left the team at the end of the season and has spent 2021 as a reserve driver for Alpine.
