F1 glamour girls cooled off by spraying water at each other in tiny bikinis

It sounds like something out of an American college movie, but two F1 glamour girls really did cool off at the Hungarian Grand Prix by spraying water at each other in tiny bikinis.

Temperatures in Budapest regularly top 30 degrees during the summer months, and with track temperatures exceeding those highs, things can get pretty hot pretty quickly.

F1 stars like Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen might have to suffer the extreme heat in their baking hot overalls, but others at the track have found ways to cool off in the past. Retro pictures from the 2005 Hungarian Grand Prix show two gorgeous F1 glamour girls having the time of their lives with a hosepipe in their bikinis.

As the thermometer soared, the two women – at this point wearing short shorts and bikini tops – cooled off by frolicking around with the hosepipe. But that wasn't enough for one member of the arresting duo.

Evidently not feeling sufficiently cooled, the redhead in the pictures felt the need to strip off down to her bikini bottoms, revealing a tiny full black set and a cute belly piercing.

Conscious of the cameras, the redhead rocket sprayed water all over herself in a scene reminiscent of something that you might find in a university sorority movie. Judging by the delighted expression on her face, her plan to cool off worked.

Temperatures at the Hungaroring on Friday are expected to exceed 30 degrees, with the weekend weather set to be in the high 20s. However, there will be no need for any hosepipes or water fights as rain is predicted across the weekend.

F1's official website puts the chance of rain during Saturday's qualifying session at 80%, while there's a much slimmer 20% chance of the wet stuff interfering with Sunday's race.

World championship leader Max Verstappen hinted at the possible impact of the weather during Thursday's Hungarian Grand Prix press conference.

"Hungary is a special track; I really enjoy driving here as it’s a bit like driving on a go-kart track, it has a very technical second sector which I like," Verstappen said.

"It will be interesting to see how the weather impacts us across the weekend. It’s difficult to say how I think we will perform this weekend, it’s not our strongest track but of course, I want a good result and we will try everything we can to win it as a team.

"I’m looking forward to the summer break and hopefully the team can get time to recover so we can make a strong start to the second half of the season."
