What channel is Cowboys vs. Broncos on today? Time, TV schedule for NFL Week 9 game
The Dallas Cowboys are riding high right now. In a game that could have easily been a throwaway with Dak Prescott out, they were able to ride behind Cooper Rush and pick up a 20-16 win in primetime over the Minnesota Vikings. Now, at 6-1, they’ve comfortably joined the ranks of the NFC “Haves” with Prescott slated to be under center again against the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos’ 3-0 start this season, meanwhile, has looked to be a mirage perpetrated by terrible competition. They snapped a four-game losing streak and got to 4-4 by beating the Washington Football Team last Sunday, but legacy player Von Miller was traded to the Rams near the deadline, and it would appear that coach Vic Fangio’s seat is warming up as the Broncos struggle to keep up in what’s been a surprisingly disappointing AFC West so far this season.
Last time these two teams played was in 2017, when the Cowboys were run out of the building in a 42-17 laugher in favor of the Broncos. Both teams show up now in Dallas looking very different, as the Cowboys look to continue a six-game winning streak after an Opening Day loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Broncos look to build momentum with their bye week two weeks away. This will be the second of an NFC East tripleheader for Denver, which means three highly unfamiliar opponents three weeks in a row.
The Broncos will have their work cut out for them to deal with the Cowboys’ many weapons, and when they’ve played against good offenses they’ve struggled to do so. Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Dak Prescott have proven to be one of the most well-rounded offenses in the league. Denver will have to innovate without Miller to figure out ways to slow them down, because the offense will likely have trouble matching pace in a shootout.
