Vikings RB Dalvin Cook ruled out vs. 49ers with shoulder injury

The Minnesota Vikings will finish the remainder of Sunday’s game without Dalvin Cook.

The star running back was ruled out against the 49ers after sustaining a shoulder injury late in the third quarter. Cook took a hard hit from Niners defensive tackle Kevin Givens on the play and coughed up the ball, resulting in a San Francisco recovery.

Cook was carted off the field after being tended to by trainers for several minutes. There is still no word on the severity of his injury but that likely won’t come until some time tomorrow.

Ranked sixth in rushing yards coming into Week 12, Cook was in the midst of quiet afternoon on the ground, rushing 10 times for 39 yards. He did, however, make up for that through the air with six catches for a team-high 64 yards.
