Trevor Lawrence looks good in teal as Jacksonville unveils first shots of new QB in Jaguars uniform
The Jaguars selected a player that they hope will be their new franchise quarterback when they selected Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Lawrence had a stellar three-year career at Clemson and is one of the most highly-touted quarterback prospects to enter the NFL since the turn of the century.
Thus, it’s no surprise that many were excited when the Jaguars revealed what Lawrence would look like in a Jaguars uniform.
On Thursday, Jacksonville took to Twitter to post some photos. Safe to say, the look suits Lawrence well.
NFL fans can get used to seeing a lot of this. Lawrence has a chance ot be one of the next star players in the NFL, and if all goes well in his first season in Jacksonville, he should have the team more competitive than they were last year, when they won their first game but then lost 15 straight.
It may not be an Andrew Luck-type turnaround that got the Colts to the playoffs in the former Indy quarterback’s first season, but the Jaguars should have a good chance to win more than one fluky game as they did in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season. And over time, Lawrence could develop into a bona fide star that can carry the Jaguars’ offense deep into the season.
Also, as Lawerence proved in this picture, he may have the best hair of any Jaguars quarterback on the roster. That’s saying something considering the great style that the Jags already have at the position in Gardener Minshew, whose combination of a nice mustache and flowing hair made him a fan favorite at times last year, and the newly signed C.J. Beathard, who was rocking some impressive moss during the ’20 season.
Whether you’re pumped up about his quarterback skills or his hair, there are a lot of reasons to be excited about Lawrence this year. Seeing him don a Jaguars uniform is just the first of many steps in what will be a highly anticipated rookie season.
