Super Bowl on CBS announcers: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo calling Super Bowl for second time together
For the sixth time in his broadcasting career, Jim Nantz will call a Super Bowl on CBS. For the second time, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will be alongside.
The popular team showed their excitement on a conference call 10 days ago as Romo gushed about the historic quarterback matchup pitting six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against Patrick Mahomes of the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs.
“This is the biggest game Patrick Mahomes will ever play in for the rest of his career,” Romo says. “He has to win this game. If he loses this game, he cannot catch Tom Brady, in my opinion.”

Joining Romo and Nantz on the CBS broadcast team are reporters Tracy Wolfson, Evan Washburn and Jay Feely. Former NFL official Gene Steratore will be the rules analyst.
The first Super Bowl broadcast to pair Nantz and Romo came two years ago when the New England Patriots defeated the San Francisco 49ers in what turned out to be the lowest-scoring Super Bowl in history. But putting points on the board shouldn't be a problem with today's matchup.
This game, Romo says, could be “one of the great matchups in sports history.”
