Fantasy TE PPR Rankings Week 13: Who to start, sit at tight end in fantasy football

If you didn’t already know, you’ll be happy to hear that the Week 13 byes don’t have much effect on our Week 13 fantasy TE PPR rankings. If you have a premier stud — well, aside from the injured Darren Waller — you can breathe easy this week. In fact, only a small percentage of fantasy football owners will need to look for streamers at all, but that doesn’t necessarily mean start ’em, sit ’em decisions will be easy.

When the most notable tight end out of action is Austin Hooper, you know there will be plenty of options. Travis Kelce (vs. Broncos) and Zach Ertz (@ Bears) are back, but both have tough matchups. Of course, Kelce is going to be started regardless, but Ertz’s fantasy outlook is more complicated.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | D/ST | Kicker

On the plus side of the start-or-sit bubble, C.J. Uzomah (vs. Chargers), Jack Doyle, and Evan Engram (@ Dolphins) have three of the juiciest matchups for tight ends to exploit. Pat Freiermuth (vs. Ravens) can also be trusted in PPR leagues, and we know Foster Moreau (vs. Washington) will be heavily involved if Waller (knee) is out. When Moreau started in Week 7, he caught six passes for 60 yards and a TD.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

The next tier of streamers sees Tyler Conklin (vs. Lions) and, for the ultra desperate, Ryan Griffin (vs. Eagles). Griffin is rarely considered a fantasy viable option — except in a matchup against the worst TE-stopping defense like this week. We’ve seen Conklin’s upside this season, but the Lions’ are surprisingly a decent defense against the tight end position. We’re still considering him, though, as the Lions have nothing to play for and Conklin has big-play ability.

Zach Ertz (@ Bears), Hunter Henry (@ Bills), and Dawson Knox (vs. Patriots) have all been hot names at times this season, but each will face off with a top-seven defense against fantasy TEs. They’ve all flashed this year, but we’re not ready to call them must-start studs. Of course, you’re probably playing these guys over most of the top streamers we listed, but at least check your other available options if you own Ertz, Henry, or Knox. They can be a bit touchdown-or-bust, which generally means a somewhat low floor in PPR leagues.

All in all, it’s not that complicated of a week for TEs, so continue to ride your stud if you have one or identify the best available option according to our rankings if you don’t.

Note: We’ll continue to update these TE PPR rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest analysis and player movement.
