Tom Brady needs help walking after throwing Super Bowl trophy during boat parade

Tom Brady threw the Vince Lombardi Trophy across a river as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrated their Super Bowl LV triumph with a boat party.

And the NFL legend appeared to need help walking as he got off the boat following the boozy blowout.

Bucs players took to the water on Wednesday as they celebrated their 31-9 win over the Kansas City chiefs in a boat parade on the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa.

Brady cemented his legacy as the greatest player in the history of American football when he won his seventh Super Bowl – more than any one franchise.

He was also named Super Bowl MVP for the fifth time after starring in the NFL showpiece 10 times during his 20-year career.

And as Bucs players toasted their win on Wednesday, Brady showcased his throwing arm as he chucked the NFL's most treasured trophy across the water to the boat where Rob Gronkowski and other team-mates were celebrating.

Afterwards, Brady had to be held up by team-mate Ryan Griffin as he staggered off his boat.

The 42-year-old later retweeted footage of himself disembarking – and it looked like he was all fingers and thumbs as a couple of spelling blunders found their way into his tweet.

"Noting to see her…just litTle avoCado tequila" read the caption.

But while Brady and his team-mates celebrated, not everybody was happy with the antics – with some pointing out the lack of face masks and social distancing.

One follower tweeted "Way to respect health care workers. SMH", while another posted: "This is just embarrassing! Have respect for the trophy and where are your masks!"

One fan tweeted: "That seals the deal. I am no longer a Bucaneer fan. This team is a pure and utter embarrassment to the city of Tampa.
