Sick Wimbledon ball boy given Percy Pig sweets by British star Jodie Burrage

British tennis star Jodie Burrage was quick to react after her ballboy, at Wimbledon, was taken ill on live TV.

Burrage had just conceded the first set on Court 18 to Ukrainian opponent Lesia Tsurenko 6-2. However, when heading out for the second set Burrage was quick to notice the ballboy taken ill as the BBC cut their feed, worried about his wellbeing.

The ballboy looked unsteady on his feet and collapsed into a chair. The British No.5 rushed over to the on-court fridge to give the ballboy a Powerade and a gel, before a fan offered her some Percy Pigs to feed the boy.

One fan tweeted: "Where the heck are the medical support people @Wimbledon? Players shouldn't be left to provide first-response care! Well done to @jodieburrage for stepping in and helping the ballboy!"

"Good on @jodieburrage for looking after that ballboy. Can't help feeling thee should have been some medical assistance there quicker," a second added.

While a third tweeted: "Jodie Burrage is so lovely, she’s being so good with the ballboy."
