Randy couples ‘using Wimbledon’s quiet rooms for saucy bonking sessions’
Offbeat news from the world of sport
The sight of balls going back and forth isn't limited to just the courts at Wimbledon – because fans are allegedly using the quiet rooms to enjoy some action of their own.
No sport proves it takes two to tango more than tennis, and it seems that is inspiring those in attendance to creep off and embrace a different kind of love in the booths, which are said to be unmanned at certain points during the day.
They can be marked "engaged" but don't lock, though that doesn't seem to be putting people off. A couple emerged from one of them looking rather like they'd just gone the full distance on Centre Court, according to The Sun.

A source said: "Everyone around them was joking with them. There was no doubt what they had been up to."
Another visitor to the All England Club claimed that when they were looking for a quiet place to reflect, they could hear kissing coming from the next booth along.
Wimbledon's access guide says: “Located in the Southern Village, the Quiet Room is a space where guests can retreat for a moment of private meditation, prayer or reflection or simply to escape the crowds around the Grounds.”

There's been problems with randy couples both inside and outside the Club in recent years. The local woodland is a hotspot for doggers and swingers, with residents taking a stand.
A poster pinned to a tree in Wimbledon Park read: “Game Sex and Match NO THANKS.” Visiting tennis fans please respect our park and woodland.
"Anti-social behaviour such as drugs, booze and sex parties will not be tolerated. Police patrol this area regularly and you have been warned. Thanks for your consideration. Enjoy the tennis!"
One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “In the summer all sorts goes on in the woods. But during Wimbledon fortnight, especially if the weather gets hot, people get carried away and pop into the woods.
“I’ve seen couples having sex, drugs parties, everything really. With so many fans camping in the park it turns into a big party after dark and people just get carried away especially if they’ve been knocking back the Pimms all day.
“We’ve put notices up in the past, but they just get ripped down. Hopefully the police will step up their patrols this year and kick out anyone they catch wanting a love match.”
