Flintoff urges Jeff Bezos to send him to space to see if Earth is really round

Freddie Flintoff is desperate to hitch a ride on Jeff Bezos’ willy-shaped rocket to check the Earth is round.

The former cricketer, 43, admitted he can’t be sure the planet is not flat without witnessing it from space.

He said: “I don’t know if I’d sooner go to space or people come from space to us – either way. The ‘flat Earth’ thing has been an interesting one.

“I spoke about it a few years ago on a podcast. I don’t think the Earth is flat but I’ve not been to space. I’ve not seen it’s round.

“My point is, I’m open to suggestions. I listen to people. If I haven’t seen it myself I can’t be 100% sure.”

Lancastrian Freddie has previously said: “I am actually desperate to go into space – oi, Bezos, get the first Prestonian into space!”

Despite being open to conspiracy theories such as the flat Earth claim, the Top Gear star insisted he would not entertain anti-vaxxers’ propaganda.

The father-of-four – who has kids Holly, 17, Corey, 15, Rocky, 13, and one-year-old Preston with wife Rachael Wools, 40 – said: “I’ve got nine GCSEs, none of them are anything to do with medical stuff. It’s not my business.

“Ask me about a car or about cricket or something I know about. I’ll enter conversations I know things about.

“If I don’t, I will ask questions.

“I’m double-jabbed and I will do as I’m told.”
