And, ahead of his next bare knuckle fight – a rematch against Szymon Szynkiewicz on in London on October 16 – Eric stressed that he takes no prisoners when it comes to a scrap.

“When it comes to physical violence, there’s no honouress thing there for me,” he said., while speaking on the SimplyInspired YouTube channel. “If we have a problem, then we’re going to have a problem.

“Even in fights with rules, I’m known to be dirty, I’m known to dip my head in, I’m known to hit low, and I have no shame in it.

“If everyone watches my bare knuckle stuff, I don’t want to knock you out. Let’s make this really clear right know because it will upset people and I like that, f*** knocking people out, if you knock people out in BKB you’re a p***y, I want to mutilate your face.”

Eric was left with a broken leg after his most recent fight only a few weeks ago, but reassured fans that his next fight would still be going ahead on October 16.

Despite his desire to battle on, Eric admitted while speaking on the podcast back in May that age was catching up with his career as a combat athlete.

Injuries are unlikely to hurt his resolve, and Eric admitted that his inherent desire to see out challenges with a brawl made him better suited to a different era of history.

“I don’t think I’m mental with my mood swings, I just think I’d be better accustomed to living in the viking times where if someone annoyed me I could put an axe through his head and take his house,” he acknowledged.
