Professional Fighters League returns – and you can watch with Mirror Fighting
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is back with a bang tonight – and you can watch the action live with Mirror Fighting .
Brit Brendan Loughnane will be making his PFL tournament debut when he takes on Sheymon Moraes and will be in good company with former UFC champions Anthony Pettis and Fabricio Werdum also on the card.
Former Bellator champion Rory MacDonald and Kamaru Usman’s brother Mohammed will also be in action and are joined by previous PFL Champions Lance Palmer, Natan Schulte, Emiliano Sordi, Ali Isaev and double Olympic gold medallist Kayla Harrison.
And fans can watch the first five fights of the night on the Mirror Fighting Facebook page from 10.30pm before the action switches to pay-per-view on MMA TV.
MMA TV founder Siju Roseje said: “Fans of UFC and MMA will love the PFL because the high profile fighters are in their prime and it’s about performing on the night rather than talking the talk, unlike other MMA promotions.
"It has the thrill of the FA Cup because you can never count out the underdog as everyone’s hungry for the cash prize, you only need four wins.
"You can never predict the outcome in PFL, that’s what makes it so exciting to watch. I’ve spent the last five years building the sport here in the UK and sealing the PFL deal shows we are serious about bringing British fans the highest level of live entertainment.
"I hope Manchester and the rest of the UK gets behind Brendan Loughnane in his quest to become the first home grown PFL champion.”
Fans can watch PFL fights for free as part of a 7 day trial on the MMA TV App and thereafter each fight can be purchased on a PPV basis with the events streaming on demand on MMA TV after they’ve taken place, along with build up and previous PFL seasons.
MMA TV are also inviting budding pundits to enter a competition.
The successful candidate will feature as a pundit on a new weekly magazine show being broadcast across the media group’s global TV networks, digital channels and platforms. If they impress, they will be offered a permanent position to include interviewing contenders and commentating on live fights.
Entrants aged 18 or over should email a two minute video introducing themselves and showing their opinions and knowledge of MMA to [email protected] by Sunday, May 9.
