Dana White distances himself from Conor McGregor's feud with USADA
‘I don’t give a s*** about any of that stuff… I don’t get involved in the drug testing situation’: Dana White distances himself from Conor McGregor’s feud with USADA after Irishman accused ‘garbage organisation’ of scapegoating him

UFC president Dana White has distanced himself from Conor McGregor’s recent comments about the United States Anti-Doping agency [USADA].
The ‘Notorious’ took aim at the organisation earlier this month, after claiming that he had been in communication with them and had a meeting scheduled regarding his imminent return to the octagon.
However, USADA quickly disputed McGregor’s claim and insisted that they ‘have not received notice of his coming out of retirement to compete’.
McGregor then took to social media to label USADA as a ‘garbage organisation’ and suggested that the company ‘is going in the bin’.
UFC president White was clearly not in agreement with the Irishman’s comments on the anti-doping agency and distanced himself from the quotes on Saturday night.

UFC chief Dana White was quick to distance himself from the comments made by McGregor
Speaking at UFC 286’s post-fight press conference, White was asked about Conor’s comments on USADA, to which he replied: ‘Um, have you ever heard of [UFC Senior VP of Athlete Health and Performance] Jeff Novitzky?
‘Ask him these questions. I don’t give a s*** about any of that stuff anymore. That’s his problem. I don’t get involved in the drug testing situation whatsoever.
‘I know nothing about it, and I don’t want to know nothing about it. I leave it to the expert. He’s the expert in this thing, and you guys call him and interview him anytime about it.’
McGregor is expected to make his return to the octagon later this year in a bout with Michael Chandler, after the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter 31 [TUF].
However, the Irishman is still not registered for the USADA testing pool – with all active fighters needing six months of testing before a bout – throwing his return into jeopardy.
McGregor sparked controversy earlier this month, after he Tweeted: ‘Usada is going in the bin. This is my issue. I’ve not lied once. Nor have I tested positive. Ever.
‘I have over 70 clean tests under this program, yet they are consistently coming out after I speak in a manner that makes it seem I am lying. It’s ridiculous. F—k [USADA]. You are in The Bin.
‘Over 70 clean tests. Never violated once. I will not be scapegoated by this garbage organization. You are not the be all end all in this equation usada.’

White went on to confirm that McGregor has been training and feels prepared to step back into the octagon later this year,
‘He’s ready to go,’ White said. ‘He could probably fight tomorrow if he wanted to, Conor. Conor coming back and coaching ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ was like a (big step) toward coming back.
‘He was telling me Monday that it felt good to be there again – felt good to be in the gym with other guys, felt good to train, felt good to be in Vegas – all that stuff.
‘I don’t know if Conor’s ready to come back and fight tomorrow, but ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ was a big step in that direction and getting him back and getting him mentally and probably emotionally ready to start training and get back to.’

McGregor will take on Michael Chandler once filming for The Ultimate Fighter has completed
McGregor, who for a long time was the UFC’s most identifiable and marketable star, has seen his career in the octagon somewhat fall by the wayside following back-to-back defeats against Dustin Poirier.
The Irishman was defeated via TKO in their 2021 bout, after Poirier landed a brutal strike to the head that sent McGregor crashing to the canvas.
And in the most recent meeting, McGregor lost via doctor’s stoppage in the first-round after the 34-year-old suffered a broken leg.
During his time out, McGregor has piled on muscle, which has sparked some fears surrounding a potential use of performance enhancing drugs.
