USA Baseball vs. South Korea time, channel, TV schedule to watch 2021 Olympic semifinals

Team USA faces a familiar foe for an opportunity at gold.

Team USA plays for a chance at knockout stage revenge vs. Japan — and an opportunity at their first baseball gold medal in the Olympics — vs. the Republic of Korea on Thursday, Aug. 5. 

Maybe the odds are in their favor: The United States knocked off Korea in a group-stage matchup 4-2, and Korea is coming off a potentially demoralizing, late-game loss to Japan on Wednesday morning. 

The good news: Team USA is almost guaranteed to walk away from the Olympics with a medal of some sort. The winner of Thursday morning’s game will advance to the gold-medal game, while the loser faces the Dominican Republic bronze-medal game on Friday night.

USA vs. Korea start time

Team USA baseball faces off against the Republic of Korea for a shot at the gold-medal game on Saturday on Thursday, Aug. 5 at 6 a.m. ET. The loser will head to the bronze-medal game on Friday night.

Team USA and Korea face off for a chance at the gold-medal game, and you’ll be able to catch the game on the NBC Sports app. As currently scheduled, the game is going to be broadcast live on the USA Network.
