BEST BET
Race 8, No.4: HELLENISM
She went pretty good in a Stakes race last start and won a Highway in good fashion the run before. It’s hard to see her not being in the finish from a good gate.
NEXT BEST
Race 6, No.6: TAWFIQ LASS
She’s drawn a little awkward but can sit back off the speed and come home in a rush like she did last start when winning by four lengths. There should be enough give in the track for her.

TRAINER TO WATCH
Kris Lees has two very good chances in the Cup (Luncies and Itz Lily) and I can see him winning the event earlier with Tawfiq Lass.
KEMBLA GRANGE
BEST BET
Race 5, No.7: PERLANT
She looked so good in breaking her maiden at this track last start and the ease of that win suggests she could string a few together.
JOCKEY TO WATCH
Tommy Berry could bag a treble on Thursday with the likes of Raccolto, Latino Blend, Perlant and Nikau going around and first starter Always Praying looks good.

RACE 5
If Ausbred Cooee doesn’t run in the cup race later in the day he’s the one to beat here. But you’d think he’ll be in the main race. If not, he’s the top pick and shoots for three-straight. Arctic Wolf has drawn wide and was good enough off a freshen up in the Sawtell Cup and he no doubt improves now at a trip he’s better at. Into The Oblivion will be better suited to this race after getting too far back in the Sawtell Cup. Wild Moon got back into form last start and will only go better now as long as he can stay the trip.
Bet: Into The Oblivion to win
RACE 6
Not many horses ever head into a race off a 5 ¾ length win but Chasing Comets does here and didn’t hit the front until the final 200m. It was a weaker race and kind of came out of nowhere but you can’t ignore it either. Standing Bear won a better race last time and will be more suited to 1200m. The second-up form is the only query but that’s only off two career second-up runs. Tawfiq Lass won very well last time but it was on a heavy track but there still should be enough cut in the ground for her.
Bet: Tawfiq Lass to win

RACE 7
Greek Hero gets in well here at the weights after winning the Sawtell Cup last start where he carried 6kg more than he does in this race. He is a horse who needs luck due to his racing pattern but if things go his way, he’ll take advantage of it and be hard to hold out. Luncies has won twice first-up and his trial form suggests he can improve that fresh record. The weight is the only knock on Opacity here. If it doesn’t bring him down nothing will. Itz Lily went great off a freshen up at Randwick. This race will just come down to who has the luck in running. Even local horse Northern Knight could show them up at odds.
Bet: Greek Hero to win
RACE 8
Hellenism ran in the Ramornie four weeks ago and didn’t look out of place in that standard of race so this is no doubt very winnable. She loves racing here and was a Highway winner two starts ago. The Drake came from 12th to win at Grafton last month and he’s undefeated here and has won four times at the trip. He just beat Aheadofhistime that day but that horse has since come out and blitzed them in a good race.
Bet: Hellenism to win
THE INSIDE MAIL FOR KEMBLA GRANGE
RACE 4
Baranof has raced against the likes of Remarque, Ranch Hand, Shaquero and Profiteer so he’s going to appreciate a run at the provincials after a good first-up performance in town. James McDonald is also on. Single Honor has the fitness on his side third-up after running less than two lengths off the winner at his two runs this time in ad he’ll be on the speed. Wolves ran great in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes and has to be the one to watch in the marker for a new local trainer. The trial was good enough too and she carries 5kg less than many of her rivals.
Bet: Wolves to win
RACE 5
Perlant races here last start and had the race won a long way from home and strode away to win with ease. This is fair step up but she should handle it going by the dominance of her latest performance. Bastaki races well fresh and is a consistent performer who has the gate speed to lead them into the straight here. Can she hold on? Conglomerate was no match for Rubinocchi first-up but that form probably isn’t too bad and he gets on a bigger track now. Has Not Another Reiby turned the corner in a new stable?
Bet: Perlant to win

RACE 6
Command King’s consistency should give punters confidence as will the fact that Hugh Bowman sticks and the Hall of Famer is in top form at the moment. They’ll be hard to hold out. Stablemate Speedzone is an on-speed horse who will take bad luck out of the equation here and he’s very fit and should’ve have any excuses on Thursday. Nikau got no luck last start at this track and would’ve won had she got clear running. She was flashing home once she got clear air. She has barrier two, not 14, on Thursday. Time to take advantage of that and win.
Bet: Nikau to win
RACE 7
Real Key is loving racing at his new home track and even though he’s seven he’s got a lot of life left in him. All Things will be on the speed and has a great second-up record but does he want further? Crazy Train won very well here two runs back and wasn’t far off winning last time out. It looks like the penny has dropped which isn’t surprising at this time of her career. Kuzco Lad probably leads them into the straight under a powerful trainer/jockey combination.
Bet: Real Key to win
