US Open schedule 2021: Day-by-day TV coverage to watch on NBC, Golf Channel & stream online
The third major of the 2021 golf season is here.
With the Masters and PGA Championship in the books, the 2021 U.S. Open is next up on the list. For the first time since 2008, the event will be played at Torrey Pines golf course in San Diego. The players will play on the South course and will look to achieve glory at an iconic venue.
When Torrey Pines last hosted the U.S. Open, Tiger Woods won the event while playing on a broken leg and torn ACL. It will be tough for any contender in this year’s championship to top that moment, but there will be plenty of great storylines on display nonetheless.
Jon Rahm, the favorite at the major, was on track to win the Memorial Tournament before a positive COVID-19 test sidelined him. Now, he’ll return to action while playing some of the best golf of his career as he looks to win his first major.
Elsewhere, Phil Mickelson will look to complete the career Grand Slam once again. The U.S. Open is the only major tournament he hasn’t won, and while he became the oldest player to win a major at the PGA Championship last month, he is considered an underdog again.
Finally, the Bryson DeChambeau vs. Brooks Koepka rivalry is continuing to heat up. The two weren’t paired together for the U.S. Open despite being two of the three most recent champions. A report indicated that DeChambeau was responsible for that, but he has said that he wouldn’t mind playing with Koepka. So, their antics will bear watching.
Either way, this major should be exciting. Here’s how to watch the 2021 U.S. Open day by day, including TV and streaming options:
