Nathan Buckley’s girlfriend Alex Pike’s cryptic Instagram posts
Nathan Buckley called an end to his long tenure run as a player and coach at Collingwood but it appears his future will still be bright.
While leaving any job comes with some trepidation about what the future holds, it appears that Buckley will have few issues, despite the common belief being that he was pushed rather than jumping.
While many believe that he will be brought back into coaching in the future, he’s also believed to be on the radar for both 3AW and Channel 7 in the commentary booth.

But having moved on from his wife of 18 years Tania with cosmetic nurse Alex Pike, it appears the future is bright for the pair, at least judging by Pike’s Instagram account.
The Herald Sun first published whispers the pair had taken an interest in each other back in January — just a month after the 48-year-old footy great publicly confirmed he had split with wife of 18 years, Tania.

After going public with the relationship late last month, it appears everything is going swimmingly with the pair, with Pike’s cryptic posts pointing to a brighter future for Buckley.
She posted three quotes on social media, including: “As we let go of adventures no longer meant for us we are brought new ones aligned with our magic.”
She also posted: “Surround yourself with people who push you to do and be better.
“No drama or negativity.
“Just higher goals and higher motivation. Good times and positive energy. No jealousy or hate.
“Simply bringing out the absolute best in each other.”
She also quoted Pericles with: “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments but what is woven into the lives of others.”

After months of criticism, rumours about his job and the shocking on field performance of his club, it looks like Buckley’s new partner will be a positive influence.
And it appears clear that the 48-year-old Buckley will have plenty of options going forward.
Brisbane legend Jonathan Brown said that despite not winning a premiership in almost three decades with Collingwood, he shouldn’t feel unfulfilled.
“His contribution to the Collingwood football club and our game in general has been amazing; he’s gotten close to the top of the mountain on several occasions, as player and coach,” Brown told Fox Footy.
“I think he’ll go away and end up doing some commentary, probably turn up doing commentary during the finals as well, have a freshen up for a year or two and then the bug will get him again.
“He spoke about the boys, so maybe he just needs to get the boys through their latter teenage years, and then he’ll be ready to go again and chase that premiership success at another club.”
