Jake Paul has cancelled his boxing match with Tommy Fury after claiming the half-brother of Tyson Fury ‘wasn’t interested and literally went into hiding’.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was due to go head-to-head with Fury on August 6 at Madison Square Garden, but doubts over their fight started to creep in when the Brit was banned from travelling to America for their press conference.

Paul has since taken to Twitter to announce that he and his team had issued Fury with a termination notice after doing ‘everything’ they could to arrange the fight.

Paul took to Twitter to say: ‘Fury’s received a termination notice. MVP did everything it could 2 help him & team. He wasn’t interested & he literally went into hiding.

‘2nd time in a row he has pulled out. 2nd time in a row I’m going to step up & take on a new opponent on short notice. AUG 6. MSG.’

The pair were supposed to settle their rivalry back in December at the Amalie Arena in Florida, but Fury had to pull out with a broken rib and a chest infection.

As a result, their fight was rescheduled for August 6 at Madison Square Garden. However, Fury faced a stumbling block when trying to enter into America.

Fury was set to fly to the United States for a press conference to promote his fight with the American YouTuber but was denied entry.

Fury filmed a video explaining why he had not been able to get on his flight to the United States to promote the fight last month.

He said: ‘[I wanted to] come on here and set the record straight before anybody else tries to.

‘Me and my team this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport ready for the press conference, ready to fly out.

‘And as soon as I entered the airport I got pulled to one side and I was told by the Homeland Security officer that was there that my ESTA had been denied and I wasn’t able to travel to the USA for a reason that I apparently know.

‘I can stand here and I say I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong and I have no clue why I’m not allowed to travel to the USA.’

‘I’ve been training for a fight this whole time and that’s all I’ve been doing. I have no clue why they will not allow me to travel today and neither does any of my team or my lawyers.

‘So now I’m having to go to the embassies and all this sort of stuff, trying to resolve it and I’m in the middle of training, guys, I don’t know why this has happened today – it is a massive shock to me and my whole team.

‘Obviously it is a matter that needs to be resolved, it is government issues, it’s a lot bigger than the fight right now and I’m trying to get it sorted but I just wanted to let you all know where it was at.’

In response to the latest setback in their efforts to face each other, Paul furiously tweeted: ‘Tommy, no matter how hard you try to get out of this fight, I’m going to do everything in my power to not let you weasel your way out.

‘My team and my partners have made it clear the steps you need to take to solve your latest excuse. Take them or admit you’re a scared little b****.’

Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions also confirmed in a statement that the press conference had to be postponed due to the situation regarding Fury.

The statement read: ‘Despite many assurances by Tommy Fury’s team that he was able to come to the US, and knowing that Tommy was in California just last month, we were surprised to learn that he had an issue at Heathrow Airport on Monday.

‘As a result of circumstances out of our control, the scheduled press conference for Wednesday at MSG has been postponed.

‘We are working with our partners at SHOWTIME and Madison Square Garden and will share more information as soon as we are able.’

Paul took to Twitter once again to update fans on the situation – claiming Fury was ‘hiding’.

He said: ‘Tommy Fury is hiding. B***h made. Tyson Fury lawyer never got back to my team on setting up escrow for our $1M bet. ‘Never believed in his brother. Instructed my team to do a Hova (Jay-Z) and move On To The Next One.’

He shared an accompanying video in which he said: ‘We have spoken to Tommy Fury’s lawyers, they’re all advising him to just go to the embassy to get his visa.

‘That’s all he has to do. But Tommy is showing no urgency, he hasn’t gone yet, he’s not communicating with us on what he’s doing.

‘This is another case of Tommy Fumbles just being scared to fight me. I think that’s what this is. I think the Fury family’s trying to manipulate something to get me to fight in the UK.

‘You want me to fight in the UK? Show me $15million. Because, here in America, we do more PPV buys, more ticket sales and more sponsorships.

‘I’ve shown you the money, we’re ready to go. MSG, August 6th. Tommy, you’re going to miss the biggest pay day of your life because you want me to go to the UK?

‘I’ll come there just show me the money but you can’t do that. This is embarrassing. Go to the embassy, get your visa, stop ducking me and stop wasting my time.’
