Woman "crumbles" at Anthony Joshua’s cheeky comment after seeing him at gym
A powerlifter admitted she "crumbled" after bumping into Anthony Joshua at her gym.
Chiz Egbuziem, a 22-year-old student and powerlifter at Loughborough University, posted the video on TikTok and it’s received over 200k likes on the social media platform.
“So this happened just before my bench set”, she wrote in the caption, with the former world champion walking past her as she was about to attempt a chest press.
Joshua was seemingly heard saying: “Get them weights in girl”, while Egbuziem visibly could not contain her excitement.
She captioned the video “I crumbled girls I crumbled” alongside a crying emoji.
The video has gone viral, with online users commenting how they would have acted in the same way in such a chance encounter.
One wrote: “Could this happen to me please?”
Another said: “I fully would too lol.”
The rematch between Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk is expected to be announced for early summer this year but still nothing has been confirmed yet.
The Brit was beaten convincingly by Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in an upset last September, losing his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles world heavyweight titles.
Now Joshua is out for redemption this year. He had hoped to face Tyson Fury in 2022 for a unification fight but now things have changed and a rematch with the Ukrainian is on the cards.
Joshua told Sky in January that those belts were rightly his: “I belong on the big stage, I belong as a champion, I belong among the names of this current generation. And you’ll see why.
“If I didn’t fight the best, I may not have lost. I know people have high expectations of me as well. I think sometimes that’s why they’re shocked. And I have high expectations of myself as well.
