Tyson Fury’s next fight after knocking out Deontay Wilder in trilogy bout

Tyson Fury will likely face British heavyweight rival Dillian Whyte in his next bout after beating Deontay Wilder for a second time.

The 'Gypsy King' defeated Deontay Wilder in explosive fashion in Las Vegas last night to retain his heavyweight title.

Had Anthony Joshua not lost to Oleksandr Usyk last month, Fury would now be given 30 days to negotiate an undisputed world title fight.

But instead Joshua will have a rematch with Usyk next year, leaving the road clear for Whyte to finally have his shot at his fellow countryman.

The 'Body Snatcher' has faced an extremely long wait for a shot at the WBC heavyweight title, and may now finally have his moment.

Whyte has waited for well over 1,000 days but threw it into jeopardy when he was beaten by Alexander Povetkin last year.

The Londoner avenged his defeat earlier this year to regain his position but must first beat Swede Otto Wallin later this month, who caused Fury problems during their 2019 showdown.

Fury retained his belt after a brilliant third fight with Wilder, knocking the American down three times before the fight was waved off in the 11th round.

Fury himself had to climb off the canvas twice in the fourth round, just as he did in his first fight with Wilder.

Fury previously called for Whyte when he named his four-opponent list, eyeing a target date in December.

And he had a social media spat with the 33-year-old, breaking his ban and labelling Whyte a "s***house".

But his potential opponent has responded unnervingly, and will wait until December to see if Fury's intentions are "real".

“ Tyson Fury says he will fight me in December, so maybe I will get my shot in December,” Whyte said. “That’s what he said. But we all know the Gypsy Kid says a lot of things but doesn’t do a lot of things. I call him Houdini, he will do a disappearing act.

“He just talks s***, that’s why I call him the Gypsy Kid, he’s like a kid, he talks sh*** the whole time.

“If you look throughout his career, he has won every single belt but he has never defended one of them, why is this? You strive to be the best in the world, you beat Wladimir Klitschko and then you throw your life down the drain. Why would he give up the British title and not fight David Price?

“Tyson Fury always runs from dangerous challenges. If he thinks he can beat you and he gets in your psyche, like Wilder, he will take that. Does he 100 percent believe he can beat me and Anthony Joshua? No.

“Fury just fiddles his way through fights. Does Tyson Fury’s style excite you? His style is not exciting. OK, he knocked out Deontay Wilder last time, but before that he just fiddled his way through. He tried to do the same thing against Wallin and that’s why he got cut.”
