TalkSPORT presenter Andy Goldstein has told Tyson Fury to “shut up” because he is boring the world of boxing with his contradicting social media posts. The Gypsy King has continued to cause a major stir this week after pulling the plug on his December 3 showdown with British rival Anthony Joshua on Monday following the passing of a self-imposed deadline.
Instead, Fury ruled that he would be facing Manuel Charr instead before U-turning his decision on Thursday, stating AJ now had 24 hours to get the contract signed.
Of course, that was deemed near-on impossible by Eddie Hearn and Joshua’s camp – sparking further doubts as to whether the contest can take place in just over two months’ time.
Goldstein, like many British boxing fans, has grown frustrated with the constant contradictions from Fury, who has seemingly gone back on his word many times during the exhausting process.
He said in a passionate rant on talkSPORT: “Tyson Fury, shut up. Honestly, you’re driving me and the rest of the boxing world bonkers with the nonsense that you’re spouting now.
“Leave the professional side of things, the contract, to Frank Warren, who knows what he’s doing and Eddie Hearn, he knows what he’s doing.
“They will together, get this fight on for the British public.
“As a boxing fan, when this fight was getting close to being made, I was thinking ‘I’m team Tyson Fury all day long.’
“There was a time in July when Fury said he will fight Anthony Joshua for free, free tickets, free TV for the fans. Nonsense.
“Then he said he’s going to retire. Nonsense. Then he said he’s going to fight AJ, nonsense. Then he said you’ve got 24 hours to sign the contract, then the fight was off. Now it’s back on.
“Honestly, as a boxing fan. Tyson Fury, shut up. I’m just getting bored of it now.”
Rival promoter Hearn has questioned the intentions of Fury, claiming he is struggling to understand what the Gypsy King really wants.
The Matchroom chief made it abundantly clear that the contract would not be getting signed on Thursday as he seeks some extra breathing room from Fury.

“Yesterday, Wednesday afternoon, we received the comments from Queensberry on our final draft, which there were many,” Hearn told iFL TV at the Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr media day.
“And I spoke to George Warren last night at midnight and said, ‘Look, Tyson says he’s not doing the fight but let me talk to him and we’ll go from there. In the meantime, we’re working on the contract which you sent to us yesterday. Then out of nowhere, we see the Instagram post like the rest of the world. You’ve got to sign it today, again.
“It’s not getting signed today. Because there are a number of things to work on in the agreement. We’ve never been told once by Queensberry—because they know it’s not ready to be signed yet: ‘You have to sign this contract today.’
“The only time we ever see that is generally on the date or a day before from Tyson Fury… we’ve had three or four people working nonstop on this fight for a long time. I can’t actually fault anybody from Queensberry’s side and if you ask them honestly, I don’t think they can fault anyone from our side. There’s been no bad mouthing, it’s been real smooth.”
Hearn and opposite number Warren are set to continue working on the fight, yet it remains to be seen whether Fury is prepared to wait around after already offering Charr the chance to step through the ropes this December.
