Tyson Fury told Frank Warren "stop flirting with the girls" at press conference
World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury told boxing promoter Frank Warren to “stop flirting with the girls” before a press conference.
Fury earned the legendary boxing promoter a fortune through his heavyweight title fight against Dillian Whyte last Saturday. Warren was ringside as The Gypsy King knocked out The Body Snatcher in the sixth round to retain his WBC belt in front of 94,000 fans.
Warren and Fury have been working together since the champ’s incredible comeback to the sport in 2018. And while it has all gone swimmingly for the unbeaten British fighter, he once told off his promoter tongue-in-cheek for flirting with a ring girl.
It came in September 2019 before Fury won his 29th fight against Otto Wallin by unanimous decision. Two days before the fight, Warren was seen in conversation with a stunning ring girl as the boisterous Gypsy King walked past.
In footage uploaded onto YouTube by iFL TV, Fury turned back and joked: “Frank, stop flirting with the girls,” before the pair laughed.
The 70-year-old has been a staunch supporter of Fury since their union and has regularly called him one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. And the promoter recently responded to claims by Whyte that he was “illegally” shoved to the floor by Fury in his defeat.
Warren rubbished Whyte’s request for a rematch when asked about it on talkSPORT, saying: “No. What for? Based upon what?
“When I was younger I was asking to take Julia Roberts out, it never happened. The only unsatisfactory thing for him was the fact he got stopped. He got knocked out and that’s the end of it.”
