Tyson Fury set for WWE return this weekend – but Gypsy King won’t to be fighting

Tyson Fury will reportedly appear at this weekend's WWE show in Cardiff.

Heavyweight boxing champion Fury, who made his WWE in-ring debut in Saudi Arabia in November 2019, is expected to appear at Clash at the Castle, the first big stadium show in the UK since 1992.

The WBC champ has often said he has retired from boxing, though is likely to return to the ring to face Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed bout. And GiveMeSport report Fury's 'return' to WWE will not see him step into the ring and get physical.

Instead, the Gypsy King could just appear in the crowd as he did on SmackDown’s debut on FOX in October 2019 with GiveMeSport adding the decision to keep Fury away from the ring is likely due to the fact he doesn’t want to risk picking up an injury ahead of a potential return to boxing.

Fury has worked with WWE before, wrestling Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in October 2019. He beat Strowman via count out with Fury often speaking about Drew McIntyre since that bout.

And McIntyre has continued the war of words, saying earlier this year: "We go back and forth with each other and give each other stick – he somehow seems to always duck me whenever he's at the WWE. He's obviously a little worried about something! I am always a big fan of his, he is highly entertaining and such an attraction so the WWE is always open to him.

"We could do something in the ring. The ball is in his court. I am not going to wait around for Tyson Fury, though. He can give us a call, he has our number!"
