Tyson Fury has thrown his support behind brother Tommy amid speculation of a boxing matchup against Jake Paul, declaring he’s taking wagers on a knockout finish in favour of his sibling.
The younger Fury brother extended his professional record to 5-0 after beating Scott Williams via second-round TKO in February, calling out former Disney actor Paul in the aftermath.
The 22-year-old has said a boxing match opposite the YouTuber will “100 per cent” go ahead provided his proposed opponent is ready to sign on the dotted line.
The ‘Gypsy King’ is currently in Miami training for his planned bout against Anthony Joshua on August 14.
Appearing alongside brother Tommy and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in a video posted on Twitter, Fury said: “So Jake, Logan (Paul), anyone else who’s out there wants to back these p******, please hit us up.
“I’m taking all bets for any amount of money.”
When asked how much he’s willing to put up, the WBC world heavyweight champion replied: “As much as they want. Anytime, any place, anywhere. Let us know. Tommy’s knocking Jake the f*** out.”
Paul boasts a 3-0 record in the ring after finishing former UFC welterweight contender Ben Askren in April, his third stoppage victory in as many boxing bouts.
That result followed one-sided wins over fellow YouTube personality 'AnEsonGib' and ex-NBA athlete Nate Robinson.
A much-anticipated all-British bout between Fury and unified heavyweight champion Joshua was expected to take place in Saudi Arabia this summer.
However, that meeting has been thrown into doubt after an arbitration court judge ruled that Fury instead has to face Deontay Wilder in a trilogy decider.
Undefeated Fury (30-0-1) finished ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in the seventh round when he last fought in February 2020, having suffered a shock draw when they first met in December 2018.
As for Tommy, “TNT” has been added to the undercard for Daniel Dubois’ clash against against Bogdan Dinu on June 5, meaning any clash against Paul will have to wait for now.
