Tyson Fury praised for being the ‘anti-Anthony Joshua’ after Deontay Wilder KO
MMA analyst Chael Sonnen has praised Tyson Fury 's showmanship after his knockout win against Deontay Wilder this past weekend.
Fury put an end to his rivalry with Wilder by knocking out the American in their third and surely final fight.
In typical fashion of the Brit, he took to the microphone after the 11th-round victory, giving the Las Vegas crowd a rendition of "Walking in Memphis" from the ring.
Sonnen thinks Fury's character is a stark contrast to his domestic rival Anthony Joshua, who lost his heavyweight titles last month to the undefeated Oleksandr Usyk.
The former UFC middleweight labelled Joshua's work ethic as "lazy" and criticised him for wanting to be "the good guy" all the time.
He said on his YouTube channel : “Anthony Joshua, who I’m very critical of, unfairly so, admittedly, wants to be the good guy so bad that he’s painfully boring in every aspect.
"He can’t fight worth a damn, he was born a pretty good athlete, he’s clearly lazy, in his training videos he barely breaks a sweat.
"He doesn’t understand that to make an omelette you gotta break a few eggs. It’s the fight game… So you bring in the anti-Joshua who is an entertainer, known as Tyson Fury.”
"Tyson's going to push it and he's going to go to the limits, but he's open with the audience to tell us 'I'm doing this for you.
"'You tune it to watch me fight. I promise I'll show up, I promise I'll try hard, I'll promise I'll be in shape and I'm gonna give you a song or dance afterwards'. Look that's more than anybody else is offering."
Fury is likely to defend his WBC heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte in December, if Whyte can beat Otto Wallin on October 30.
'The Gypsy King' recently laid out his "bucket list" that included fights against Joshua, Whyte and Derek Chisora before retiring from the ring.

And Fury's co-promoter Frank Warren had some harsh words for Joshua after Fury's emphatic win against Wilder.
He said: “Look at the comparison between Tyson’s and AJ’s performances. If Joshua has just watched that it will have frightened the life out of him.”
“I would love a homecoming more than anything, for the British fans and everything. Fury is the best heavyweight of his generation and he is up there with all of them.
"Tyson sells out any stadium in Britain, easy, big time, the fans will come out for him. Everything is possible and we will just sit down and look at how we do everything."
