Tyson Fury has "no boxing skills" as heavyweight contender says he would KO him

One of the rising stars of the heavyweight division has launched a scathing attack on Tyson Fury, claiming he'd "easily" knockout the WBC and Ring Magazine champion.

Frank Sanchez, 29, took his overall record to 20-0 on Saturday by taking a unanimous decision over Romanian fighter Christian Hammer in Florida, and continues to hold the NABO and WBC Continental Americas titles.

'The Cuban Flash' is now targeting bigger fights, and after his latest win – which was on the undercard to the Luis Ortiz and Charles Martin clash – was asked who he wanted to face next.

"I want the best right now," Sanchez told ES News, via his interpreter, before the prospect of a bout with Fury was put to him.

"I knock him out easily. He has no boxing skills," replied Sanchez.

Furthermore, he predicted that a clash with current WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk would be yet more straightforward.

“Even easier," he said, nonchalantly.

"Usyk has movement, but he doesn’t have the technique that I do."

He's unlikely to get either of his dream match-ups anytime soon, with Ukrainian Usyk currently negotiating a rematch with Anthony Joshua while Fury is touted to defend his belts against Dillian Whyte.

However, Sanchez, who appeared on the undercard of the Fury and Deontay Wilder trilogy fight when he out-pointed Nigertian Efe Ajagba, has received some high-profile backing.

Training partner Canelo Alvarez was in the crowd to support his friend on the weekend, and his presence proved enough to inspire, with Sanchez describing the undisputed super middleweight champion as an "absolute stud."

"I was very motivated by seeing Canelo supporting me at ringside," he continued.

Should Tyson Fury be worried about Frank Sanchez? Let us know in the comments section.

"He’s very serious and very respectful both with me and his work ethic.

“The biggest lesson that I learned from him is the fact that it doesn’t matter whether you’re training or you’re inside the ring, that you got to be serious about your craft, that you got to follow it with passion.

“That’s the main thing that I took away from being around Canelo, someone that I appreciate a lot.”

Alvarez, 31, is currently gearing up for his proposed shot at Ilunga Makabu for the WBC cruiserweight title. The Mexican is bidding to become a five-division title holder, with provisions already made for the fight to be in May.
