Tyson Fury has been offered yet another bout despite announcing he was set to retire after beating Dillian Whyte on Sunday – with Joe Joyce the latest man to call him out after Fury defended his titles at Wembley.

Fury stopped Whyte in six rounds as he completely controlled the bout against the Jamaican-born star. Having previously announced his retirement after beating Deontay Wilder for the second time back in October, the Gypsy King was adamant that he would finally hang up his gloves in his post-fight interview in north London.

However, he also agreed to an exhibition match with UFC icon Frances Ngannou just moments later, leading many to believe he was not serious about his retirement claims. Whyte then stated he would be ready for a rematch after he believed the fight was called unfairly after Fury pushed him.

And another boxer in Joyce has now called the 6ft 9in champion out, stating he is ‘here’ if the Wythenshawe-born talent wishes to step back into the ring. Joyce told Sky Sports: “He better have because I want to fight him at one stage. If he wants it, I’m here.

“Sometimes, I guess, Fury can get a bit complacent. I thought maybe Dillian might have a chance to land the overhand right or work the body shots, but [Tyson] stayed switched on and dealt with it. You could see his focus and determination; he wasn’t taking his eye off the ball. He is so skilled.”

Joyce has won all 13 of his professional fights, with wins over Daniel Dubois and Carlos Takam leaving him with Commonwealth, WBC Silver and WBO International heavyweight titles. At 36 years old, both fighters are coming to the end of their careers.

But Joyce confirmed he is back sparring and ready to fight Joseph Parker to make it 14 wins from 14 in his professional career. He added: “I’m back sparring and ready to get back to Las Vegas and back training with a proper solid camp for Parker.

“That’s scheduled for July 2 – it’s not 100 per cent done yet but it’s pretty much there. Both myself and Parker want it; we’re both similar, friendly guys but once we get in that ring it’s going to be a different story.

“I’m No 1 in the WBO rankings and he’s No 2. I’m two in WBC and he’s three, so what better fight out there for both of us?”
