Tyson Fury breaks silence for Queen and hopes she ‘rests in Heaven for eternity’

Tyson Fury has broken his silence on social media for the Queen and stated that he hopes she "rests in Heaven for eternity".

The WBC heavyweight champion had been absent from social media for the last 10 days following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. However, he returned to his Instagram account on Monday morning to post a heartfelt message ahead of the start of the Queen's funeral.

Speaking in the video, he stated: “Hey guys, Queen’s funeral today. I’ve been off social media for the past 10 days mourning out of respect for our Queen who’s died.

"Not posted nothing, not been interested in doing anything else. I hope all the funeral goes well. Condolences to the Royal Family and may she rest in Heaven for eternity in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.”

Fury's video message comes over a week after his last social media post, on the night of the Queen's death. Following the news, he posted: “Thoughts & prayers with my Queen tonight, may God be with you. RIP. May the Lord God grant u a good bed in heaven.”

He and wife Paris were also spotted laying flowers outside Buckingham Palace last week as they visited to pay their respects to the late Queen.

Fury also left a touching note beside their flowers, which read: “To our Queen, great may your bed be in Heaven. Love from Tyson and Paris xx Gypsy King x.”

The Gypsy King is set to return to the ring later this year, having gone back on his decision to retire after beating Dillian Whyte back in April.

His promoter Frank Warren confirmed exclusively in his Daily Star Sport column on Friday that a contract has been sent to fellow British fighter Anthony Joshua – who only has to sign it and return it – for the bout after he had accepted Fury's offer.

Fury is now set to defend his belt against Joshua at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on December 3.
