Tyron Woodley suspended for two months after monstrous Jake Paul KO
Tyron Woodley has been medically suspended for 60 days after suffering a brutal knockout punch by Jake Paul on Saturday.
The former UFC Welterweight Champion replaced the injured Tommy Fury for the showdown in Florida as he tried to make amends for his decision loss to Paul in August.
But the 39-year-old suffered an even more devastating defeat as he was dealt a huge right-handed haymaker in the sixth round, after which he collapsed to the floor with his arms by his side.
And now the Florida Department of Licensing and Regulation, which oversees the boxing commission, has ruled Woodley will have to miss two months of action due to suspension.
Woodley is unlikely to be racing back to action either way after pocketing a whopping £1.5million for the bout, following on from a reported £1.4million from the first fight.
Co-headliner Miriam Gutierrez was handed a similar suspension following her beating at the hands of Amanda Serrano.
Gutierrez’s face was left disfigured as she went the distance against Paul’s protégé but lost on points.

She was blitzed with 236 punches across 10 rounds with world champion Serrano displaying a boxing masterclass.
But unlike Woodley, the Spaniard’s suspension was deemed indefinite due to the sheer barrage of punches she faced.
Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was another fighter to recently receive a suspension for his own safety following his historic encounter with Tyson Fury back in October.
