Logan Paul talked ‘s***’ to Tommy Fury in fight vs Jake – and angered him more

YouTuber Logan Paul has conceded his decision to goad Tommy Fury while in the midst of his war against younger brother Jake was a poor one.
The social media personality and WWE wrestler earned widespread ire after using a mid-fight interview to insult Fury and his wider family in a classless move. Not that it had any positive impact on the final result, with 'TNT' deservedly awarded the decision victory in Saudi Arabia last month.
"Tommy, if you can hear me, you a b****, bro! And you're gassing out," cried the older Paul sibling into a microphone between rounds. "You a b****, the whole Fury family are a b****!"

Grammatical errors aside, the loudmouth remarks were widely derided and earned negative attention from UFC legend Nate Diaz, who tweeted a video of the clip while suggesting Logan "needs his a** beat." Fox Sports pundit Skip Bayless added 'Logan was trying to promote Logan at his brother's expense,' and Paul has accepted some responsibility.
"Some people seem to be upset that I cut a promo mid-fight," excused Logan during the most recent episode of his Impaulsive podcast. "What I was trying to do was – because I was on the mic – and you can hear it in the arena, and I knew Tommy was sitting in his corner.

"And Jake was losing, so I just tried to talk s*** and get in Tommy's head, so he could hear it during the fight over the loudspeaker The issue is, it just p***ed him off. Because the round started, and he just f*****g unleashed a gnarly combination on Jake. I was like, 'I just made him mad.'"
Despite accepting some culpability in what proved to be a calamitous moment, one may doubt whether Paul's motives were well thought out enough to suggest he was 'cutting a promo'. Granted, the 27-year-old has gained genuine experience as a WWE wrestler in recent years, but it seemed evident at the time he was merely attempting to crush Fury's spirit.
Needless to say his efforts fell way short, with many surprised his win over 'The Problem Child' was a split decision and not unanimous in his favour, even despite suffering a late knock-down. The 23-year-old rained consistent combinations upon Paul to inflict the first defeat of the American's career, which also happened to be the first fight in which he'd faced an active boxer.
Logan may decide against talking more smack ringside if given the opportunity should Jake and Tommy clash in a rematch, as is expected following their post-fight comments. With brothers like that in one's corner to help gee up the opposition, who needs enemies?
