Logan Paul has rekindled his war of words with all-time boxing great Floyd Mayweather by labelling him a ‘grandad’ and insisting he is ‘nervous for him’ ahead of their fight in Miami.

Mayweather, who boasts an unblemished 50-0 record in the ring, will take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul in an exhibition match next month – and the rookie enters the bout as the underdog.

But despite the sheer size of the task that awaits him on June 6, Paul has remained in typically bullish spirits and underlined his belief that he may spring a shock as he has ‘nothing to lose’.

‘This fight means so much to my fans, to my family, to everyone watching who thought they couldn’t do something in life,’ Paul told Sky Sports.

‘That’s the energy I’m going in with. I have nothing to lose. Literally, I have nothing to lose.

‘So when you have a guy coming into the ring with that energy? And a guy who has everything to lose?

‘As a grandad? I’m nervous for him!’

Mayweather, who became a grandfather earlier this year, last stepped into the ring in 2017, when he defeated UFC superstar Conor McGregor by technical knockout in the 10th round of their slugfest.

He was enticed back, however, with Logan, 26, and his brother Jake both making waves, and their fair share of enemies, in the boxing world.

When asked for his thoughts on influencer Logan, Mayweather said: ‘He has a huge following. Big guy, strong guy.

All-time great Mayweather flew into a fit of rage this month when he tried to strike Jake Paul

‘This is fun, it’s entertaining. It’s all about entertainment. On social media, he entertains the people.’

The two rivals squared up against each other during the pre-fight press duties at Hard Rock Stadium this month, and the tangible tension quickly gave way to an all-out fracas between both entourages.

Mayweather was sent into a fit of rage when Jake, 24, stole his hat and looked to dash away.

Security was forced to step in and Jake later showed off an apparent swollen black eye and his ripped t-shirt in the wake of the drama.

Meanwhile, Logan has fought professionally just once before, making him the rank outsider against former five-weight world champion Mayweather.

Having taken on fellow YouTuber KSI, Logan suffered defeat – although their first showdown ended in a controversial draw.

Jake has enjoyed more success, picking up three stoppage triumphs so far.
