KSI Says he 'COULD fight Wayne Rooney' after bout against Jake Paul

YouTube sensation KSI Says he ‘COULD fight Wayne Rooney’ after his bout with Jake Paul… revealing the former Man United star contacted him to offer a fight, and claiming Wayne Bridge may also be considering stepping into the ring

  • YouTube boxing star KSI has revealed that he could fight Wayne Rooney
  • KSI was speaking ahead of his fight in January against MMA fighter Dillon Danis
  • He claimed he has his eyes on a fight vs fellow YouTube sensation Jake Paul next
  • But could be open to squaring-off against the former Man United midfielder

YouTube boxing sensation KSI has revealed that Wayne Rooney has contacted him and offered to fight him in the ring, while also claiming Wayne Bridge had been interested in donning a pair of gloves.

The former Manchester United striker is known as a big fan of the sport, having trained in his youth and was recently spotted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium watching Tyson Fury’s victory against Derek Chisora.

Despite admitting it would be great to see the 37-year-old step into the ring, KSI admitted that he wouldn’t go toe-to-toe with the Merseyside born footballer, instead focusing on his own goals within the sport.

‘It’s funny I hope he doesn’t get annoyed that I said this,’ KSI told DAZN, ahead of his fight against MMA fighter Dillon Danis on January 14.

‘But Wayne Rooney hit me up saying we should fight. And I said no. I just don’t wanna’ do that.

‘If Rooney is down, I think it would be good to have him in the space [the MisFits boxing events]. I know Wayne Bridge is one person that’s been interested in this space.’

KSI, who has a record of 4-0-1, will go toe-to-toe with MMA fighter Dillon Danis on January 14

KSI is instead hoping to secure a fight against fellow YouTuber Jake Paul, who earlier this year agreed to fight the London-borne boxer at Wembley if KSI admitted the American was the better fighter.

Paul defeated Anderson Silva via a unanimous decision back in October and it is still unclear who his next opponent could be.

Yet it seems KSI is chasing a bout against the American, but is not neglecting a fight against Man United’s all-time leading goal scorer.

‘For me I’ve just got certain goals in mind and yeah maybe after Jake [Paul], if I want to do something after Jake, but we’ll see,’ KSI said.

While Rooney could be a great fight, KSI is keeping his eyes focused on a fight with Jake Paul

The YouTuber also laughed when the presenter asked him if he would fight Matt Hancock, saying: ‘Literally with this space, it could be anyone. Anyone who wants to fight can fight, that’s just what Misfits is.

‘I think it is a space that is always growing and something that, for me, I don’t do it for money. I do it because I want to see how much I can improve as a human being.’
