KSI has confirmed a new opponent after Dillon Danis pulled out of their looming bout with just weeks to go.

The pair were scheduled to slug it out on January 14 over six rounds at the Wembley Arena. But as the fight date drew closer, it was revealed Danis wouldn't be stepping in the ring by KSI's manager Mams Taylor on Wednesday afternoon.

Taylor announced the news on Misfits' YouTube channel, when he claimed he'd received a phone call saying Danis pulled out from the fight as he was "underprepared and possibly overweight." Danis' surprise omission plunged KSI's fight night into chaos, but the determined YouTuber was adamant he was still getting in the ring and vowed: "The show must go on. I’m still fighting January 14th."

And his perseverance paid off as fellow YouTuber Faze Temperrr was announced as Danis' replacement. Cracks appeared in Danis' preparation for the clash when he failed to show up for their pre-match press conference, when KSI insisted the American was haunted by him.

And KSI further goaded his rival for making excuses to pull out of the fight as he's not a "real man", whilst crediting Temperrr for stepping in at the last minute. He said, via The Express: "I mentioned at the press conference that Dillon was being haunted by me. He made his excuses and knew he couldn't handle what I bring to a boxing ring.

"This answers the question whether he's a fighter or not. He's a warrior alright, a keyboard warrior, and hopefully he's learnt to leave the real men to speak with their actions rather than hollow words.

"That being said, my focus won't be distracted from the task at hand and that's Faze Temperrr. We've come head-to-head plenty of times with the Sidemen and FaZe Clan competing against each other, and it looks like we have another challenge on our hands.

"Credit to Temper for stepping up like a REAL fighter." Danis' withdrawal from the bout will appease Conor McGregor who insisted his pal should return to the MMA instead of fighting KSI during a Twitter spat with the YouTuber.
