Kell Brook's trainer drinks glass of boxer's own sweat in bizarre footage
Kell Brook’s trainer has been filmed appearing to drink the boxer’s sweat as he prepares for his fight with Amir Khan and it’s fair to say some boxing fans have been left disgusted.
The 35-year-old is currently being put through his paces by trainer Dominic Ingle ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Khan.
But a video taken from Sky Sports documentary Behind the Ropes has left fans in shock with Ingle seen drinking a glass of Brook’s sweat.
After a brutal workout, Ingle orders Brook to take off his shirt and wring out his sweat into the glass, clearly trying to prove just how hard he’s working in the gym.
After joking he’s going to sell the sweat on Ebay, things take a drastic turn when Ingle proceeds to drink the sweat after being dared to ‘down it.’
‘On the 19th you are going to get the blood and the tears from Khan, you can give me the sweat instead,’ Ingle said. ‘Am I alright to put this on Ebay?’
Ingle wastes no time in taking on the dare, downing the sweat before proudly showing off the empty glass to the camera.
He adds: ‘There you go, I’ve got a bit of Kell Brook!’
Unsurprisingly, the clip hasn’t gone down well with boxing fans on social media.
One fan posted ‘this is grim’ while another added: ‘That’s sealed it. #TeamKhan all the way.’
YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI also had his say on the video, as he tweeted: ‘This ain’t it.’
Ingle and Brook will be hoping their final preparations pay off when he takes to the ring in Manchester this weekend in what will end a near 20-year feud.
‘I don’t like his attitude, his lies,’ Brook said of Khan and their long-standing rivalry.
‘I think the boxing world knows I always wanted this fight. When he says it’s me that’s never wanted it, it just riles me. Everyone knows it’s not true.’
In response, Khan said: ‘As time’s gone on, he’s lived off my name all his career.
‘It gets me a little bit angry. Why is he always calling me out, even in times [when] I was fighting someone else? But he made the fight happen.
‘I knew one day it would happen. I would never leave the sport without it happening.’
