Jake Paul’s former ‘wife’ is YouTube star with over 6million TikTok followers
In recent months Jake Paul has announced himself as one of the new up and coming names in the world of boxing, after defeating former UFC star Tyron Woodley back-to-back in the ring.
The American fighter's original rise to fame however came during the last decade, after becoming one of the internet’s biggest sensations – firstly across the now defunct site Vine – before becoming one of YouTube’s most watched vloggers.
And his YouTube stardom did not only provide a lavish lifestyle and career for the 24-year-old, it also resulted in him getting ‘married’ to fellow internet star Tana Mongeau – who has over 6 million followers on TikTok.
The vlogging pair first got together in April 2019, and just under three months later revealed to their millions of fans that they would be tying the knot in Las Vegas.
Paul released a vlog of their off the wall wedding one week after, which documented the couple travelling to Las Vegas from LA in a swanky private jet alongside a group of the guests, including Jake’s brother and fellow YouTuber Logan.
During the 16-minute clip the 24-year-old boxer revealed the ring he was placing on the finger of his wife-to-be set him back a staggering £224,000 ($300,000).
Despite the lavish wedding the pair were unable to stick to their vows as just five months later Paul and Mongeau announced they were splitting up.

Whilst the former couple no doubt made a huge song a dance about the wedding, just under a year after they split the boxer’s ex Mongeau revealed to the Barstool Sports Podcast that the event was in fact fake.
Mongeau – who has over six million followers on TikTok – told the podcast: “Did we get legally married? No, that was a fake wedding, there’s nothing you can ever say that it wasn’t, I guess.”
Whilst the TikToker was quick to confirm the marriage was in fact a hoax, she did admit her feelings for Paul were definitely real, adding: “The emotion of it all was real.
“It’s still real. It’s real for me, it always will be real. I love Jake more than anyone I’ve ever loved.”
After making his millions via YouTube Paul has now had a huge change in career path, after becoming a professional boxer in 2020.

Since turning pro the American has fought five, and won five bouts in the ring, including last weekend’s victory over former UFC champ Woodley.
And it seems his change in profession ultimately led to the end of his relationship with Mongeau after discussing his break up with Page Six in January 2020.
He said: “Tana’s been super supportive. We ended things on great terms, we’re friends,”
“I guess I fell in love with the sport of boxing and fell out of love with Tana.”
Paul has since moved on from his former relationship, and is now dating social media influencer Julia Rose who featured ringside at his victory over Woodley on December 18th.
