Everton’s Godfrey spotted telling Man Utd players to "f*** off" after equaliser

Everton centre-back Ben Godfrey could be seen aiming an expletive at Manchester United's players following Dominic Calvert-Lewin's dramatic late equaliser in their 3-3 draw on Saturday.

With nearly five minute of injury time having been played, the England striker latched onto Michael Keane's header from a free-kick to poke the ball past David de Gea and earn his side a dramatic point.

It sparked scenes of delirious celebrations from the Toffees player, who ran over to the corner flag in joy.

And Godfrey appeared to get somewhat carried away as he joined his teammates.

After embracing Calvert-Lewin he turned and could clearly be seen saying "f*** off" twice in an aggressive manner.

It is not clear if Godfrey was aiming the abuse at any United player specifically, but it no doubt rubbed salt into the wounds of what was a huge blow to their title ambitions.

United are now two points behind league leaders Manchester City but have played two games more than their bitter rivals.

And speaking after the game their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted his side should currently not be considered as potentials to finish top.

"We're not talking about winning titles," he said. "We've come a long way this team.

"We shouldn't even be considered as title-chasers. That's one for you [the media] – we've got to be better as a team and let's see where we end up. Going forward, we need to stop conceding easy goals.

"They had three shots that hit between the goals and they scored three goals. It's disappointing. And when it's in the last minute of added time it's very disappointing. I wouldn't blame anyone on the goals but we know we can defend better."

United are next in action against West Ham in the FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday before taking on West Brom the following Sunday.
